Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 July 2026

This policy describes how DMX Remapper ("we", "the app") handles your information. DMX Remapper is developed by João Neves, Portugal. Contact: j15neves@hotmail.com.

Website

This website is a static site hosted on GitHub Pages. It does not use cookies and does not require an account. We use GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly analytics service, to count page visits. GoatCounter does not use cookies and does not track visitors across sites; it records aggregate, non-identifying information such as page viewed, referrer, browser type and country. See the GoatCounter privacy policy. GitHub Pages may log standard technical data (such as IP addresses) as described in GitHub's privacy statement.

Purchases

Purchases are processed by our merchant of record and payment provider. Payment details (card numbers, billing information) are collected and processed by the payment provider, not by us. We receive the information needed to deliver and support your purchase: your email address, the license key issued to you, and order details.

The application

The free version of the app works without any account or personal data and sends no personal information to us.

When you activate a full license, the app contacts our licensing server to activate and periodically re-validate your license key. For this purpose the app generates a machine identifier (a one-way cryptographic hash derived from hardware identifiers of your computer). This identifier cannot be reversed into the original hardware data. It is used solely to enforce the license activation limit. The app stores a signed local license file on your computer and re-checks the license online periodically; the app does not otherwise transmit usage data, DMX data, session contents or any files.

What we do not do

Data retention and your rights

Order and license records are kept for as long as needed to provide support and comply with legal obligations. Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, or to deactivate a license, contact j15neves@hotmail.com.

Changes

We may update this policy; the current version will always be available on this page.
