Terms of Service

Last updated: 28 July 2026

These terms apply to the DMX Remapper website and the DMX Remapper application for Windows ("the software"), developed by João Neves, Portugal ("we"). By downloading or using the software you agree to these terms. Contact: j15neves@hotmail.com.

The software

DMX Remapper routes DMX channels over Art-Net in real time between lighting consoles and visualizers. The free version is fully functional with limited capacity (routings, fixtures and channels). The full version is unlocked with a license key.

License

The software is licensed, not sold. Upon purchase you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the full version. The license is a one-time payment, valid for the lifetime of the product, with an activation limit per key (shown at purchase). You may deactivate the software on one machine to activate it on another. You may not redistribute, resell, rent, or sublicense the software or your license key, nor reverse-engineer the software except where permitted by law.

Purchases, billing and refunds

Purchases are processed by our merchant of record, which is the seller of record for the transaction and handles payment, taxes, invoices and refunds. Refund requests are handled in line with the payment provider's refund policy — contact us and we will help resolve any issue.

License activation and connectivity

Full-version licenses are activated and periodically re-validated online. The software includes an offline grace period of several days between checks; after that period an internet connection is briefly required to re-validate. The free version works fully offline.

Acceptable use

You are responsible for how you use the software in your productions. Do not use the software for unlawful purposes.

Disclaimer and liability

The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the software — including but not limited to loss of data, show interruption or equipment behaviour. Always test your setup before a live show.

Changes

We may update these terms; the current version will always be available on this page. Material changes to the license terms will not apply retroactively to licenses already purchased.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
